Remembering Caitlin

Caitlin was born on August 3, 1994, in Oak Lawn, IL. She obtained her Associates Degree in Flagstaff, AZ. She graduated from Marist HS in Chicago in 2012. She also attended St. Bede and St. Christina Elementary Schools.

Katie was a free spirit who brought unlimited joy to everyone she touched. She loved animals, nature (she was a certified Advanced SCUBA diver), and most importantly, her family and friends. She always loved to sit on the floor and have family game nights. She loved life and was genuinely a good person with a big compassionate heart and a beautiful smile. Katie touched so many; family and friends throughout her short, yet very memorable life. The lord took her way too soon, but he must have a plan for her. We will all see her again one day as she welcomes us into her home in heaven.

Katie, you will be missed by all.

Caitlin is survived by her mother Danielle Mahoney (Connolly) and step-father Rich (CPD-8th District) of Chicago, IL, and her father Allen Cain (Retired CPD-8th District) and step-mother Dawn (Laursen) of Gilbert, AZ, her brothers Aaron, Adam, Nicholas, Joe, and Daniel, her Grandparents Martha and Harold (Paw Paw) Hammons of Greer, SC, and her Great-Grandmother Edith Goode, also of Greer, SC. She has many relatives and friends all across America, who loved her dearly and are heartbroken over this tragic loss. She is preceded in death by many family members who are surely holding her little hands as she enters the gates of Heaven.
