Today we said our final goodbye to Dave Burkholder. He was the best father and grandfather. I don’t know how I could have thrived without him. From the moment Kara Leigh was born, he found his mission- loving and spoiling his granddaughters. From changing diapers, feeding them, toddler story time, picking them up from school, driving them anywhere they wanted, chaperoning field trips, watching them compete in sporting events or shining on the stage – he was there for them. Last summer he walked Kara down the aisle on her wedding day.
He leaves a hole too big to fill, and more importantly a legacy as his son, John Burkholder follows in his footsteps.
